Due to the slow-moving economy of world many cellular companies have lose there Target of sale in the Korea (Xinhua) -- Mobile phone sales in South Korea dropped there sale almost 16 %

The total amount of mobile phones is sold last month 1.68 million units, down 16.4 percent from 2.01 million units in February 2008, according to the statistics by handset makers.

However, the February figure was an 8.6 percent increase from the January sales, which was attributed to back-to-school seasonal reason, according to Yonhap

Samsung Electronics Company the country's No.1 cell phone maker, said its sales stood around 840,000 units in February, followed by No. 2 producer LG Electronics C., which said to have sold 501,000phones.

As of the end of 2008, 93 percent of the nation's population own cell phones, and every Korean household has an average of 2.73 mobile phones.
